Stuart Wolpert is Director of UCLA Conversations with UCLA’s Emeriti Association (a part-time, volunteer position), where he creates, leads and markets a series of unscripted, engaging UCLA Conversations, on campus, with outstanding UCLA professors and other experts on a variety of topics, including artificial intelligence, health and aging, and challenges facing universities. He works with colleagues in UCLA’s Emeriti Association, UCLA ’s Retirees Association and others on implementing these programs. Stuart also serves on the Board of Directors of UCLA’s Emeriti Association and as news editor of the Emeriti Association’s quarterly newsletter. He is a former UCLA Strategic Communications Senior Media Relations Representative, who wrote more than 1,500 UCLA news releases; advised faculty and students on working successfully with the news media; and generated national, local and international news coverage for UCLA research, and retired in 2022. He is a UCLA graduate and former Daily Bruin city editor, senior staff writer and editorial board member.
